I've been out and about with my camera for over 7 years. At the time, I was inspired by a hotel photographer with whom I had a photo shoot as Director of Sales & Marketing for a hotel opening. She told me how she turned her passion into a job.
Since I've been painting since childhood and attended several art courses during my high school, it was of course always a dream to be able to work as an artist. But I lacked the courage to study art. So instead I made my passion for travel, working with people and eating as a profession and got into the hotel industry, where I worked for the last 15 years as Director of Sales & Marketing for large hotel chains.
Due to the pandemic, however, everything turned out differently than planned. I had just completed my Executive MBA in General Management and was planning to take new steps in the industry. But through lockdown, short-time work and finally the bankruptcy of the company where I worked, I got something that I never had before - time!
And I used this time to pursue my passion and passion for photography. So i have attended several courses, certified me in professional photography, accompanied professional photographers, started a 'Photographyjourney' on Instagram and accompanied some event and interior shootings with the camera.

My name is Anna Wiman and I support hotels and companies for event, location and reportage recordings with high-resolution and competitive images.
The name Wimanphotography was launched 7 years ago to create professional images for companies, hotels, restaurants, event locations and real estate. The name Wiman comes from Sweden, where I come from and grew up. As a dual citizen, I am also Swiss and so Wimanphotography is located in Männedorf, ZH.
THE STORY BEHIND IT
When I was 15, my art teacher at school asked me if I would like to take his evening class in drawing (which, of course, was an honor). So I was already instructed in perspective theory, color and image composition and my artistic interest and flair was encouraged. But the choice of career fell on the hotel industry.
In 2014, when I was Director of Sales & Marketing, I worked with a photographer for a hotel opening and she told me about the job of a hotel photographer and inspired me so much that I tried the first steps with a camera myself. I was quickly tied up and so I decided to take part-time training in photography to understand the theoretical basics, camera settings, exposure and technology. I got the certificate as a photographer. At the same time, I was always out and about with my camera part-time - because you only develop your skills and your own style over time. A little later I invested in my first full frame camera and my passion for photography was born!
After a short time I was able to gain experience as a photographer. I accompanied several well-known companies with my camera, including Cathay Pacific, DHL, XYLEM, Radisson Blu, Hotel Schweizerhof Zurich, LBB Real Estate. There were also pictures in HTR, 20minutes and look printed. The highlight and an honor for me was certainly that as an accredited photographer I was allowed to accompany Philippe, King of the Belgians and His Holiness the Dalai Lama with the camera.
EVERYTHING CAME DIFFERENT THAN PLANNED ...
I grew up and trained in the hotel industry. During that time I specialized in marketing and am a federally certified marketing planner. I also have an Executive MBA in General Management. In 2020 and 2021, the pandemic will affect all of us though changed a lot - also for me! The company where I worked went bankrupt and there really wasn't a suitable job. So I used the time to complete some online photography courses to To close "knowledge gaps" and of course the most important thing: I practiced. I accompanied the practice with a "photo tour" on Instagram challenge myself, and continue to do so to develop. And during this trip I decided to turn my passion into a job and so I expanded and stocked up my equipment accordingly.

WHO I AM?
My name is Anna and I'm positive, creative and never standing still - literally as well as figuratively ;) For these reasons, I've always challenged myself to learn new things, to get ahead or just to try something completely new.
WHY THE PHOTOGRAPHY?
Very simple – because I love photography! Because I'm creative, because I always want to learn something new! But even more - because I want to make other people happy with what I do. Because I know how important pictures can be for your image. The picture on the CV only has one chance, sales can be increased with professional pictures, sales can be encouraged, the restaurant booked because professional and exciting pictures are convincing and last but not least.
WHAT BACKGROUND DO I HAVE?
I grew up professionally in the hotel industry. I love travelling, eating (both cooking and eating), meeting new people and spending time with friends. That's how I decided to go to an international hotel management school and that's how I came to Switzerland for the first time in 1992 from Sweden, where I grew up.
HOW PHOTOGRAPHY BEGAN?
Over time, I specialized in Sales & Marketing and ended up working as Director of Sales & Marketing for well-known business hotels for over 10 years. In 2014 I worked with a hotel photographer and through her passion and stories I became curious and tried the first steps with the camera. WOW - I fell in love right away and since then I've developed myself through several courses, through accompanying photographers, through many commissioned shoots, but above all through practice.
I swapped my first camera for a full-frame Canon 5DMarkiii, upgraded my lenses and kept adding to my equipment. Last year a mirrorless camera, the Canon r6 and new lenses were added. I also got certified as a photographer.
WHAT CAN I OFFER YOU?
With complete equipment, I offer professional photography for companies as well as for private individuals (why do we want to separate that? You work and are also traveling privately?) with a specialization in event shootings, headshots, food shots and interior photography. Of course, as mentioned, I will also accompany you with the camera for private events, couple or children photography outdoors and at weddings.

I used to commission photographers and accompany them on various projects. Be it for rooms and rooms, a food shoot or an event shoot, I had to call up a different photographer each time, which I found tedious. I didn't know how the photographer works and what the quality of the pictures was. So I decided to offer several areas. Today I have equipment for interior shots, food shots, event shootings and headshots, accompanied by my training, my knowledge and my experience from many projects.

Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses - I'm a perfectionist! I don't let any pictures through that I just think are «ok». Each image is reviewed as it is captured and reworked during editing to ensure 110% consistency.
